Get ready for Camping Weekend # 2!
Rangeley was a crazy weekend and Mt. Blue should be no different.
We are staying in the Mt. Blue shelter area near the base of the the mountain. It is a good 12 miles from…

The Sustainable LEAP (Learning, Educating, Achieving & Promoting) is a network of people interested in sustainable living and advancing sustainability throughout our community. From gardening to global warming and community integration to zip cars!
That would be fun! I should have done more training the first year I did it but I still did well. There were a few KILLER hills but I heard they changed the route a bit to avoid them. I hope it's true!
My friend and I were charged up thinking we'd lose weight because we'd be biking so much but it didn't happen. There's SO MUCH food at every rest stop and the food at the schools is great too. Watch out for the ice cream bar at Colby! That didn't help our waistlines at all but we had a great time eating it!
My friend and I camped our first year too. It sucked because it rained for most of the weekend! It was aweful setting up out tent in the rain and having it still soaking wet the next day. My sis and I luckily got a dorm room this year so I'm pretty psyched!
Hey Sarah! Bri told me you're doing the Trek! I'm doing it too, for the second time! My sister and I are doing it, with our dad and his girlfriend, since it's the big 25th anniversary! Are you staying in the dorms or camping?
This year is especially cool because my dad has a special distinction! There have been 5 or 6 other people who have participated in the Trek every year but he's the ONLY one who has ridden his bike in EVERY Trek since it started! We're pretty proud of him! :-)
Ha! You did leave me a message...I just didn't see it. Not sure how I feel about soccer. We'll see. I'm thinking training for the Trek is going to be enough for the spring.

HUNGER DOESN'T GO ON VACATION. But many of our volunteers do.
We have hundreds of dedicated volunteers and appreciate the work they do to feed our hungry neighbors 365 days a year. But this time of year poses a challenge as many of our volunteers t…
On the back side of Long Island, there is a beach where the Sand is pure white, the ocean is crystal clear. About 1500 feet away is another miscellaneous island.
In between the two islands, where NO boats are aloud, lies the most beautifulest oceani…
