PortSports Gym Class is a weekly league where the sport changes every week. From Badminton to Floor Hockey, Fore Square, to Dodgeball. This is the class to relive the feeling of a rainy day with a lazy Gym Teacher.
A group where people go to watch movies together at the theater . Maybe hang out afterward and talk about them. We can take a vote as to which movie we will go see for the week. Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays will be movie watching days.
This group is for people who enjoy bar trivia, socializing, and going out for a few drinks on a weekday night. Portland has more options than one would think for testing your useless knowledge and this group will look to explore those options.See More
I have heard great things about the Brunch at The Frog and the Turtle in Westbrook, so let's check it out! And since the Ice Bar is this weekend as well, we will all probably need a Bloody Mary or Mimosa (both only $5!)to cure our hangovers!!! The menu looks terrific featuring omelets, benedicts, pancakes, and house-made donuts! They do take reservations so RSVP quickly!!!
Sorry fellas, this group is "Ladies Only" We like to try local restaurants that serve Brunch. The stimulating conversation is just a bonus to the great food! If you have a brunch spot suggestion, email email@example.comSee More

The event before that is on Wednesday March 16th, Nickelodeon Theater, 7-11pm. Maine Frozen Shorts: A Night of Local Films. Tickets are $8 advance, $10 at the door.
Description: Come in from the cold and check out an evening of short films from local Maine filmmakers. The night will feature shorts from Lisa Wolfinger, Sputnik Animations, Bonfire Films and a preview screening of Nicholas Brennan's upcoming short film "A Marine's Guide to Fishing".
It'll be a lot of fun and it's all for a good cause. Proceeds from the night will go to support the Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, a veterans organization that helps disabled vets and their families adjust to civilian life. The show starts at 7pm and will be followed by an afterparty at Sonny's on Exchange St. sponsored by Double Cross Vodka.
Let me know if you want to go to one or both, I will be going to both :)
Hey Kate! SO one event is at the SPACE Gallery on Wednesday March 16th, 7:30pm, $12 general admission. It's a screening for a local movie called Killer Joe. Description: Drugs, guns, sex, and country-western: this ain't your daddy's night at the theater. Something like the love-chil...d of Sam Shepard and Quentin Tarantino, "Killer Joe" lures you with pitch black humor into the trailer-trash world of a greedy and vindictive Texan clan desperate enough to murder their mother for her insurance policy.
Unable to pull off the dirty deed themselves, they hire a contract killer who sinks his claws into their young daughter and sends their plan spiraling out of control. In his first play, Pulitzer Prize-winner Tracy Letts pushes Southern Gothic to a pulpy, shocking extreme, creating a visceral experience that builds tension to a jaw-dropping, hilariously depraved climax.
Welcome to PortSports Kate. Dave and I are glad you found us. Feel free to click around and get acquainted with the site. A good place to start is our "events" and "groups" tabs at the top of the page. We look forward to seeing you soon.
