I love to ski and have been on skis since I was 2, so I would like to meet some people who enjoy it as well! I live in Lewiston, and would be willing to meet people in Windham if they were coming from Portland to go to Shawnee Peak(that's the mountain that I grew up on, love it), or if someone wanted to go to Sugarloaf, Lewiston is kind of on the way, so we could meet up somewhere. I only went a couple times last year, but would LOVE to get out there more times this year. I am a very good skiier, a little rusty since my racing days, but I keep up. I am the type of skiier that takes about 4 runs then takes a break(hot cocoa with butterscotch schnapps is a good break for me!!), and am out back there again. Feel free to contact me if anyone wants to make some plans!
New to the area. I am hoping to get a lot of skiing in this season. I ski and my wife snowboards. Usually ski about 2-4 weeks for the season total. Hopefully will be increasing that now that we live closer to mountains. Looking to get involved with MHS as we have some friends that are involved and had a blast last year at the ski-a-thon. Usually we take 1-2 trips out west one for a long weekend boys trip and one week long to get the powder out of our systems. Would definitly be interested in trips and be willing to car pool up to the mountain any time. Shawnee Peak, Jays Peak, Sunday River, or backcountry if you know a good spot to hike too.
I'm planning to ski three or four times this winter... probably Sunday River or Sugarloaf. I usually wait until Feb. to ski... is early season worth the trip?
It depends on money for me.....I don't mind driving....it's just the cost of the ticket once i get there. I try to go at least five or six times.....but i plan on going a lot more this year.....having a full time job and all now.
After moving away from Maine 10 years ago, I was able to make only 2-3 trips a year (mostly out West) - now that I am back this year, I am psyched to be boarding every weekend. It is good to be home!!
