We would like to present a new wave of exercising fun with Lindsay Mattingly!

Women and Men of all fitness levels, sizes and ages will gain great results with Impulse Motions Boot Camp! Do you need a boost to your fitness program? Then these boot camps are for you! Whether you are just starting a program, an eager fitness addict, or need a change of scenery, come try out the Impulse Motions Boot Camps!

Two boot camps will be offered: Beginner and Intermediate. The Beginner Boot Camp is for 'beginner' or 'average' fitness. Trying a new fitness program can be a daunting experience. Some of us haven't worked out for a while, lost muscle strength, and lack the motivation to jump-start a new fitness program. The Beginner's program is designed to make you feel comfortable and start 'where you are' fitness wise. No one will be left behind! This is not a competition based class! It is geared to fire up those adrenaline levels and make you go above and beyond your goals!

The Intermediate Boot Camp is designed to be more challenging than the Beginner Boot Camp. Participants will engage in moderate to intense workouts to help you achieve your goals in fast paced environment. The classes are also longer to help push you beyond your last wind! It is advised that those signing up for this bootcamp MUST have either a.) finished 2 Beginner Boot Camps, or b.) is an avid fitness junkie looking for a challenge. Any previous Beginner Boot Campers who would like to sign up for this class MUST contact Lindsay at workoutwithlindsay@gmail.com before signing up for this class. Thank you!

About the Instructor

Lindsay is a Certified Fitness Trainer through International Sports and Sciences Association (ISSA) and is CPR/AED Certified. She has a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Dance, and is currently working on her Nutrition and Fitness Therapy Certifications through ISSA. Lindsay has 5 years of experience in the fitness industry: she taught boot camps in Fort Wayne, IN; was a Personal Trainer at Pivotal Fitness in South Carolina; taught Adult Conditioning classes at OA in Saco, ME; was an Independent Personal Trainer out of her home in South Carolina; is currently an Independent Personal Trainer out of a studio in Scarborough, ME; and currently assists clients online ranging in areas of Indiana to Maine.
As many of you may know, Lindsay taught boot camps up until her last month of pregnancy, which proved her dedication to her clients. Tiredness, soreness, and lack of sleep did not deter her from showing up to class with a smile on her face. She recently had a baby on June 20, 2010, and recently finished The Great Adventure Challenge at Shawnee Peak August 21st . She is also training for another Shawnee Peak Challenge October 23, where it will consist of obstacle courses that go up/down a mountain. Just like you, it was a struggle for her to get back into the fitness regime after the baby. Two weeks post baby, with much determination and will power, she was back to running two mile jaunts. “If I did it, you can do it too! Don't let outside sources control you from grasping onto your goals. Reach high and I'm behind you EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!”

When will the classes be?

Classes for the Beginner Boot Camp are 3 times a week.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 5:30am -6:30am

The first class will be Monday, September 13th at 5:30AM.

Classes for the Intermediate Boot Camp are 2 times a week
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5:30am-6:45am

The first class will start on Tuesday, September 14th at 5:30am

These sessions will run for 4 weeks.

Where are the classes located?

Classes will be held at a 632 Rte One in Scarborough. They will take place in a Dance Studio with shock absorbent floors, cathedral ceilings, and PLENTY of room to sweat your butt off! Please, drive by the area BEFORE the bootcamp starts so you know which building. If you cannot find the building, please call Lindsay at (207) 239-8767 for directions. Thank you!

What will these classes include?

Impulse Motions Boot Camp is a four week indoor/outdoor workout program pact with fun, up beat exercises geared to help you accomplish your goals, professional fitness instruction, and FREE nutritional counseling. Whether you would like to shed the extra pounds, familiarize yourself with exercises, or just get fit for yourself and your family, then these programs for you!

*Everyone will have the job of recording their food journals. Journals will be turned in to Lindsay WEEKLY via email or presented to her in class. Lack of updating journals will result in harsh punishment! Weekly fitness/nutrition tips will be sent via email to clients.

Do I need equipment?

An exercise mat, small hand weights (5-10 lbs.), water bottle, running/cross trainer shoes, and a sense of adventure. You can purchase hand weights at any Target, Walmart, Dick’s, or any fitness store. I will provide the FUN AND EXCITING ACTIVITIES!

Cost

The cost of the Beginner Boot Camp will be $144, and the cost of the Intermediate Boot Camp will be $115. You may also have the option of doing BOTH boot camps for $215! Why not work twice as hard to improve your fitness and overall health? The more dedication, the FASTER the results!

A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity of boot campers' choice (3%). So far we have raised $100 for Avon's Breast Cancer Walk and the Center for Grieving Children! Not only are you in this for YOU, but you are also in this for someone in need!

Where else will you get professional nutritional tips and fitness instruction for this price? Most trainers charge $50-$80/hr for their services, so let’s take advantage of the classes for the fraction of that cost! Also, group settings = MORE MOTIVATION!

What can I expect?

Lindsay will need everyone to sign up for a consultation and measurements. It should take about 15-20 minutes. Sign ups for both boot camps will be September 11th and 12th from 9am-11am. You only need to attend one day. If you cannot attend either days, she will not be able to reschedule any times. Once you have registered for the program, email her at workoutwithlindsay@gmail.com and let her know which time you would like to attend. Please make sure to reserve a spot so you don’t miss the opportunity for a FREE consultation!!!!

Third, fourth, and fifth day of boot camp has been going REALLY WELL! Whoop whoop!
We tested everyone's trust the past Saturday. I really wanted everyone to TRUST THEMSELVES and see that they REALLY CAN accomplish anything. It was tough, but it shows that now matter what, I'm right behind you to catch you!
Monday was great! We backed off a bit since Saturday was hard. I worked on Proprioreceptive training. Know what that is? Well, we have cells in our muscles that send signals to our brains. They let us know if our ankle is rolling or knee is bowed in, etc. Sometimes, those proprioreceptors are not activated because the individual doesn't know how to activate them. So we worked on some drills to teach the brain how to use those muscle groups.
Today we worked on EVERYTHING! I wanted to focus more on the strength training part so we can activate those muscles and I want everyone to learn how to keep those abs activated. You use your abs for everything, even while just doing a squat. You CAN'T just target one muscle group because there are smaller ones that assist that muscle and ones that work against that muscle, etc.
I'm very excited because I just recieved a box full of MEDICINE BALLS! I will have to throw those in for Saturday. We may be slaming some weighted medicine balls into the concrete and work up a sweat!
